Westendorf Manufacturing Company, Inc. is located in the center of America's Heartland. The Manufacturing plant is in Onawa, Iowa. Onawa is 35 miles south of Sioux City, IA and 60 miles north of Omaha, NE along I-29.
Westendorf Mfg started in Smithland, IA on December 1, 1934 in an old church on the south edge of Main Street. In 1942 we moved to a plant in Smithland on the east side of town. W.J.. Westendorf developed an all steel, rubber-tired fifth wheel wagon that would trail, turn short, and carry heavy loads. It was considered the best on the market.
In 1975 we expanded our operation, and purchased our present plant in Onawa. At that time we expanded our sales focus and now are represented by dealers all over the United States
